Santo Domingo Ebano Verde coffee is grown in a reserve carrying the same name, characterised by a microclimate with plants and birds found nowhere else in the world. The coffee trees grow between 1100 and 1450m above sea level on a specific type of soil which produces this exceptional wildlife. At harvest time, all the coffee cherries are carefully sorted to select only the best. They are then tasted, and only those with a particularly fine taste are classified Ebano Verde. Bean or ground, Santo Domingo Verde pure arabica coffee has a unique, chocolatey flavour, medium body and a slightly citrus acidity. Caffeine content approximately 1.37% (pure arabica).
